Love Music Love Food

LoveMusicLoveFood is the concept created by award winning food photographer, Patrice de Villiers, in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.

 

The inspiration for LoveMusicLoveFood was created after a conversation one night with Muse front man, Matt Bellamy. Chatting after a gig, it emerged that he loves to cook pasta at his home in Italy.

"I found the thought of a rock star so involved in food intriguing and had the potential for some creative imagery combining the portraits of artists with their favorite food or drink." Patrice de Villiers

Having started to develop the concept, she wanted to use the idea to benefit young people in some way and it was months later that the idea was born. After watching Muse perform a gig for Teenage Cancer Trust at The Royal Albert Hall in 2008, she realised that Teenage Cancer Trust would be the perfect charity to benefit from this project.

With unique portraits by Patrice, interviews by renowned music journalist Andrew Harrison, a foreword written by superstar chef Heston Blumenthal and exceptional bespoke recipes by rock 'n roll cook Sarah Muir, a beautifully crafted book has been created combining the two things that make the world a better place, music and food.

The whole LoveMusicLoveFood project has been made possible by the 250 plus people who have given their time and resources so freely.

It is not just because musicians gave their time so generously but it is also thanks to the generosity of our contributors who supplied equipment, studio space, pre and post production and design processes that LoveMusicLoveFood went from a concept to a complete body of work.
