Spandau Ballet's Tony Hadley first tried Curry when he was 18 or 19, before that he was very traditional with food. But from the age of 20 he started travelling the world, and as he says "You can either be one of those artists that just wants Burger King or KFC or you can investigate what you find."
So when asked to contribute to LoveMusicLoveFood: The Rock Star Cookbook it came as no surprise that Tony Hadley chose Curry and Poppadoms as his favourite food.
And it was through travelling the world with his own band and Spandau Ballet that Tony discovered the all the amazing food he could wish for, but it was the hot stuff that kept him coming back.
"When I started on curries I thought a chicken korma was hot but I've far surpassed that now. I love chicken jalfrezi with green chillies in it."
Such is Tony's love for chillies that he's even grown his own chilli bushes, as he admits, "I'm a hot freak."
The Rock Star Cook Book is a beautifully crafted book, published by Quadrille with an appeal that it has been created for the good of others.
